Despite my efforts, I’ve not felt like I’ve made this website truly my own. Its incomplete, and in many ways, doesn’t represent or communicate myself very well. So, in the background, I’m working on renovating and rebuilding my website, again.
A couple of things to bring to note:
- I’ve replaced the old videos page, with a new one. I don’t have a webcam set up anymore, and featuring an image from 3 years ago of me in a house I don’t live in anymore just didn’t seem to work. The new videos page showcases my Youtube videos, where I have an active channel, with both my older Jake’s Place-era videos and newer ones.
- I’m closing the Gallery on this site. In favor of my flickr account, which is easier to post to and manage than the gallery software here. The benefits of using a social photo service like flickr are obvious, making it easier for people to find my photos, amongst other things. I’ve already reposted all the material that was found in the gallery here on my flickr photostream.
In the future (hopefully near future) I plan to do the following:
- Open a local version of my galleries on flickr, combining the benefits of using their service with the benefits of being able to have my photos available here on the website.
- Redesign the layout of these pages and hopefully to build up the "home" aspect of these pages.
After that, I’ll turn my attention to the decision making process that needs to be faced with JakesSneaks.net. More on that in the future.
